Throughout the year we organise regular community events, which are great opportunities for local people and the wider community of Bath to come together, have fun and make the most of our wonderful site. Most of our community events are free, some have an entry fee and others a suggested donation, see details below.

Meet the Georgians and Victorians
Saturday 7th May 11am-2pm: Come and explore life in Georgian and Victorian Bath and Twerton! Try their food, listen to a Georgian Wind Band, handle artefacts, play Victorian games and meet some interesting Georgian and Victorian characters. Free entry but donations welcome. No need to book.
May Plant Sale
Saturday 14th May 11am-2pm: Give your garden a spring makeover! Good value perennials, herbs, vegetable seedlings, annuals, cut flower plants and soft fruit will be available to buy, as well as face painting, Animal Magic and the bouncy castle. Café open. No need to book.
Saturday 21st May 10.30am-12.30pm: Meadows are amazing places for wildlife, teeming with insects and plants. Why not come and discover what is living in our magnificent meadow? Go on a bug safari, and make your own bee hotel to take home with you. Free entry but donations welcome. No need to book.
Explore the Iron Age
Thursday 2nd June 11am-2pm: Come and explore what life was like in the Iron Age! Help us build an Iron Age roundhouse, handle some artefacts, do some Iron Age activities and meet some real life people from the Iron Age! No need to book. Free entry but donations welcome.
Flit, Flap and Fly by the Egg Theatre
Sunday 3rd July Performances at 11am, 1pm and 3pm: A squawking adventure that follows a young chick’s frantic and funny journey towards independence, and his relationship with his fine-singing father. For all ages (particularly 4-7 year olds) the audience is invited to join the pair in the nest, where they find themselves part of the daily life of a unique bird family. Bursting with live music and audience participation, everyone in the nest can learn. Big Summer Fundraiser in partnership with the Southside Family Project
Saturday July 16th 11am-2pm: Lots of fun, games and music for all the family including BBQ, bouncy castle, face painting, crafts and fairground games. No need to book. Free entry but donations welcome.
