Following the government’s announcement about the need for social distancing as part of the coronavirus response efforts, we will be making some changes to the way our charity operates.
From Friday 20th March our buildings, café and toilets will be closed until further notice. Sadly, all project groups, volunteering, bookings and events have now been suspended. If you have a booking at the farm and haven’t yet heard from us please get in touch.
It is likely you may need some space and fresh air during these uncertain times, and we hope to do what we can to provide this. Our farm grounds, which is on an open access site, will remain free and open. However, to keep the site safe for everyone, we strongly urge you to wash your hands thoroughly when arriving and leaving the site. We will do our part by keeping the outside handwashing sink clean and have soap readily available. If you are feeling unwell, please do not visit.
To meet social distancing measure advised by the government, please do not arrange group meetings or social gatherings at the farm. And be mindful of other visitors by keeping your distance.
The farm will be managed by a much smaller team than usual, who will be busy supporting our volunteers, many of which are having to self-isolate, and caring for our animals. Can you help us to look after the site by reporting anything unusual by calling our emergency telephone number; 078 033 374 80.
Our charity exists to support vulnerable people in the community to thrive and to bring enjoyment in nature. We hope to still fulfil our vision throughout these unprecedented times and ask if you can donate anything right now to help us continue to care for our animals and the people we work with, it would be greatly appreciated. If there is anything we can do in return to help you and your family do reach out, or stay in touch with us via social media.
Thank you, your support means more to us than ever.
