Community Play Rangers @ Bath City Farm

The Community Play Rangers at the Farm are Shiva and Adam. They both have a great deal of experience with working with children from 0 to 20 years of age. They also have a range of professional training in Play work and Youth Work. The Play Rangers run 3 sessions a week after school from 3.30 to 6.30. The aim is to provide child led play activities for children as well as engaging children and young people with open green spaces and nature. At the Farm this includes feeding, cleaning out and caring for all the animals. Another popular activity is cooking and we plan to do campfire cookery sometime soon. We have already made Chocolate Crispy Cakes and Baked Apples, which were delicious.
Art activities are also very popular and since September we have made Willow Lanterns, Xmas Cards, painted pictures of the new pigs and lots of other creative activities.
Team games and homemade skittles are also popular at the moment although the weather and the dark are proving a challenge.
The plans for the New Year include starting a Bath City Farm Football Team, designing and making signs for the Farm, a Mosaic project, more pottery, den building and a trip to another city farm as well as other fun activities and of course looking after the chickens, ducks, sheep, goats and pigs!!
We are always looking for experienced, enthusiastic volunteers to help at the After School and Holiday sessions so if you are interested please contact us at the farm.
Session times are:
Monday and Wednesday @ Bath City Farm 3.30 to 5.30pm
Thursday @ Southside Youth Center 4-6pm (lots of sport!)
Come and join in the fun!
