Wassail 2020!

Home > What’s on > Wassail!

Join in the fun as we celebrate the ancient West Country tradition of ‘Wassailing’ our apple trees for a good harvest.

“Apple tree, apple tree,
Bear good fruit,
Or down with your top
And up with your root!”

Following the ancient custom, we hope to bring our community together to encourage a strong apple harvest in the autumn by singing, playing instruments, shouting and throwing toast at trees!

With mask-making, apple bobbing, toast-throwing, singing, and hot chocolate around the firepit, there will be fun for all ages.
