Youth Activities

Spending time at Bath City Farm is a fun and stimulating experience – the value of outdoor work cannot be underestimated and volunteering at the farm is a great opportunity to meet new friends.  We also offer education courses for people with few or no qualifcations (below Level 2) in subjects including animal care, gardening, conservation, crafting, cookery, countryside crafts and IT.

YouthGet Green! is a project to help young people (aged 16 – 25) who are Not in Education, Employment or Training develop a wide range of work ready skills that can be transferred into employment or training. Sessions run every Tuesday afternoon 1–3pm. Lunch is provided and bus fares from Bath city centre can be reimbursed.

Young people will gain a wide range of practical skills that they could take further into employment or education including grounds maintenance, animal care, horticulture, wildlife conservation and basic carpentry/woodworking, as well as gaining a host of transferable skills such as problem solving, team building, communication skills, time keeping, a good work ethic and a sense of responsibility.  Participants will also gain in self-confidence and have pride in the work they achieve.

Saturday Club for 5-10 year olds 10.00-11.45 am
Bath City Farm is a great place for children and young people to come. Not only do we have some wonderful farm animals, but we also have 37 acres of land (that’s a lot of land, around 18 football pitches) to explore. We have been running popular clubs for children and young people since the summer 2010 and every week we try new things. Rowan leads the session. All our sessions are run in a safe and professional environment. Bath City Farm has zero tolerance on bullies so everyone can get along and enjoy themselves.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the popularity of these sessions, we have increasingly been getting numbers that exceed statuatory recommendations (8 children/1 staff member).  As a result we are now operating a booking system where you can pre-book a block of sessions. We are currently full but if you would like to go on the waiting list please do get in touch.
