Here at Bath City Farm, we are so excited to announce that from the 11th of June, our beautiful farm and café will be open every Sunday. Farm hours on Sundays will be 9.30-4.00, and the café hours on Sundays will be 10.00-3.00. Come and join us for a family Sunday walking around the farm grounds and meeting our friendly animals, followed by a lovely bit of brunch in our Café. The cafe serves a seasonal menu and uses ingredients grown on the farm, and we are starting a brand new Sunday brunch menu. This will include dishes such as the pancake stack served with bacon and maple syrup and the halloumi breakfast, served with fresh sliced and dressed tomatoes, herby new roast potatoes and hummus. There will also be a Farmer’s breakfast and Gardener’s breakfast amongst other brunch dishes, all can be enjoyed with the Farm’s choice of teas and locally roasted coffees.
Our Garden and Farm Shops will also be open on Sundays, with the new Garden Shop selling a range of plants from £2 which have been sown, grown and tended by the Farm’s wellbeing volunteers. They include flowers for pollinators such as cornflowers, vegetables such as courgettes, artichokes and French beans, herbs, seeds and pots. Our Farm Shop is located inside our lovely café boasting views of the city of Bath and our amazing 37-acre farm. You can expect a range of locally sourced cheeses and butter to be available, as well as fruit and vegetables, farm eggs, biscuits for cheese, chocolate, biscuits, crisps, chutneys and jams. The Farm’s own reared meat will also be available with gammon joints and lamb available. Any profits we generate from the café or Garden and Farm Shops will be ploughed right back into the farm.
Farm Director Brendan Tate Wistreich said: “The Farm is a wonderful place for families, older and young members of the community, to spend time. Sunday is a special day to relax and enjoy local green spaces, so what better place to spend it than Bath City Farm”
Everyone is welcome at Bath City Farm, and we can’t wait to see you there!
