We have been funded by the Forest of Avon Trust through their Trees for Climate grant to plant 65 new fruit trees and 10 new wood pasture trees.

We’re really excited to plant this new orchard as it will add to the food growing capacity of the farm, creating new habitat, improving water retention (and flood defence) and improving public enjoyment of the site.

First time and experienced tree planters welcome, and all tools will be provided.

The planting days will involve digging, planting, staking and mulching trees. The field to be planted is at the bottom of a hill, so volunteers need to be able to work independently and carry out physical tasks such as wheelbarrowing woodchip, carrying tools, digging holes and planting trees.

Please check the weather before attending and dress appropriately, including suitable footwear for muddy ground.

There will be a vegan soup for lunch.
