On Sunday 23rd June, Sid Hill will be hosting Cultivating Connections: The Art of Ecological Gardening at Bath City Farm. The workshop will run from 11 am to 4 pm.
Sid Hill is an ecological designer and gardener based in Totnes, Devon, whose passion is to create landscapes and plantings that echo wild plant communities, meadows, woodlands and wetlands, whilst producing food, restoring environments and improving peoples lives. He grew up on a permaculture farm and has been a keen gardener since childhood, recently winning a ‘Gold’ medal at the Chelsea Flower Show.
In the workshop, you will explore how ecological understanding can change the way gardeners interact with plants and the land, with a focus on practical and creative ecological gardening. Take inspiration from rewilding, ecological horticulture and conservation management to tend gardens over time, while working towards our goals.
How can the gardener be an ecosystem engineer and create ecological diversity, beauty and produce?
Tickets are priced at £40 general admission, with pay it forward and pay what you can options available.
