Families came out in their droves to enjoy the activities at Bath City Farm at the Easter Fun Day. It was great to see the farm packed so busy despite some British weather in the morning.
There was a lot to see and do to keep everyone entertained. The pod swing in the fort playground is new this year and there’s a new tree house in the woods.
The newly way marked out Easter Trail had intrepid families trekking out across the muddy fields in wellies and boots. Families used our Wildlife Guide and trail map to explore around the farm, collecting samples of leaves and twigs from nature along the way. You can buy this guide from the farm shop.
Lots of crafts and activities included making our own nests from moss and twigs, or making insects with our friends at Blooming Whiteway. The bouncy castle and face painting were very popular. A big thank you has to go out to our volunteers who manned tables and activities.
Those who waited in the queue to meet our new born chicks were rewarded with holding one of these fluffy balls of Easter joy. Lots of our animals enjoyed visits from the children. Our Shetland ponies Dougie and Dougal loved all the grooming attention they had. All of our animals can be sponsored through our ‘Adopt an Animal’ programme.
If you are looking at these pictures and feeling like you missed out on this day, come and visit us next time at our Summer Fun Day on Saturday 7th July, when we’re hoping the sun will shine!
